Gamecube games worth importing?

Post by Flake »

I am quickly amassing Japanese Gamecube consoles without a whole lot of an idea of what the JPN half of the menu has to offer.

I have the best Gundam game for the system, M.S.G. Pilot's Locus

Do you guys have any other JPN favorites to share with me? Especially in the shooter / big robot / 2D fighter way of things.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Radirgy (also on DC, Wii)

Hudson remakes:
Star Soldier
Bonk's Adventure
Adventure Island
(all of them on PS2, but also only in Japan)

Puzzle collection is kinda muted now since there are better offerings on Wiiware for cheaper - but it is still cool

But that physical media speaks pretty loudly to me.

Good suggestions, keep 'em coming!

This topic was just discussed a short time ago.

The three import-only GC games I own are Kururin Squash (already mentioned), Mr. Driller: Drill Land (maybe the coolest one ever), and Super Robot Taisen GC, which definitely features big robots and Gundams.

Dont get me wrong, I prefer physical media - but the title is $50ish shipped now. I bought it when it was $70ish.

What level of comprehension of Japanese are you looking for?

Sonic Gems will get you Sonic CD with the Japanese OST, and I'm pretty sure that version had Streets of Rage 1-3.
