Gameplay-wise: He's missing a significant transition in the current state of survival horror.emwearz wrote:He is missing EVERYTHING!GSZX1337 wrote:You're not missing much.Rurouni_Fencer wrote:Confession time: I've never played Resident Evil 4...
Plot-wise: He's missing absolutely nothing.

Agreed. Even though re4 is one of my favorite games, I would have enjoyed it more if the story was actually interesting.Opa Opa wrote: Gameplay-wise: He's missing a significant transition in the current state of survival horror.

This is the big reason why I never really got onto the RE train - I play and judge games mainly for the stories they convey. Sure, the first was great when it came out - something new and awesome in 1996. The sequel was an improvement, but the story was just RE 1.5, so meh.. (Oh wait - really??) I skipped 3 and tried Code Veronica for about an hour and was amazed on a next gen system they were still doing the same damn thing.SwooshBear wrote:Agreed. At this point I missed RE4 due to the fact that I felt every entry was essentially the same game, but with shinier graphics and new guns and characters.
Survival Horror just never really did it for me, I guess...

Thats what I was thinking, and that makes how many RE4 releases nowsevin0seven wrote:not really excited, i rather play the originals on gamecube or wii. what we need HD for is the likes of Sonic 1 to 3, Street of Rage 1 to 2, etc (16-bit era).
