Anyone excited for the RE:4 and RE:CV HD remakes for 360:PS3

I'm excited. I might get CV since I haven't played it yet. Also, my Sony hating friend can finally play a good resident evil game. I'm trying to get him into it.

He has been able to for a long while, every entry in the main series is available on a piece of hardware not made by Sony.

Sorry, I should had been more clear. He only plays 360. He doesn't play retro games and he dislikes the older resident evils. I told him to stay anyway from re5, so hopefully he will like re4.

You know, if these remakes were more like the gamecube remake of RE1 there'd be plenty good reason to be excited about this.

Exactly. I don't feel RE4 needs a remake, even if it is in HD. THAT'S just a shameless cash grab. A remake of Code Veronica would be nice if it was remade a nicely as the first one was, but these look like ports to me and I don't feel the need to buy another port. So no. Not excited about these.

Now if they were actually making honest-to-god remakes of RE2, RE3, and Code Veronica, a-la Gamecube's RE1, then THAT I'd would get excited about.

Isnt that the RE5 gold edition? I thought that version added 3D and Move support.

This is what I will always hate about Capcom. I love RE4 but we don't need fifty goddamn versions of it! Truly no company does "milking" better than Capcom. They have always set the standard for others to follow(starting with Street Fighter 2 on consoles). Greediest company in the industry

Pretty much with everyone else on this, RE4 is one of my favorite games but I just don't care about this at all. If it were like a PSX-gen game then that'd be cool, but this was last freaking gen and it's just not necessary after 72 other ports of it.

Code Veronica might improve a good bit with the update, but still ... Code Veronica? Now that's a weird choice.

Instead, all this wasted time and money could be put into a real REmake of 2, or 3 instead.
