Re: HD Remakes
Thats a killer concept
Re: HD Remakes
I support HD ports as long as they're nice upgrades and they aren't changing crap for the worst. I think an excellent example would be Perfect Dark on XBL. Bringing up the resolution a lot and upping the framerate. That's all that needed to be done and it was great.
A bad example on the other hand, the Turtles in Time remake. The graphics were ugly, the weird diagonal attacking and controls were awkward, and the new music and voice overs completely sucked. All they needed to do was brighten and color up those sprites and give us some awesome 4 player co-op action online.

Yeah, I simply don't know why they haven't done it already. It has more demand than anything else they can make, by far and it wouldn't hurt the franchise, it would even bring back players to it.Breetai wrote:The one that would probably sell the highest is Final Fantasy VII.
I would support any good HD remake of classic titles that would benefit from it.

Re: HD Remakes
I think it's a cheap cash grab for developers... some things (if cheap enough... think RE4 Wii) are worthwhile to me. But I'd almost rather companies move on and make new things, then again I'd rather see brand new games and ideas than sequels as well... so...

Capcom forgot how to make good games lately (outside of fighters), so I guess this 50th port of RE4 makes sense! ...darthmunky wrote:Well they just announced Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica HD remakes for PS3 and 360.

Re: HD Remakes
I appreciate remakes as a way to introduce a great game to a new audience and bring it up to modern standards. A way to maybe take a game and add to its timelessness as well by giving it a new coat of paint(like Beyond Good & Evil HD or Sly Collection). Unfortunately, we all know this is just Capcom falling back on their usual shameless ways and milking RE 4 for the THIRD time!Ryvius wrote:Capcom forgot how to make good games lately (outside of fighters), so I guess this 50th port of RE4 makes sense! ...darthmunky wrote:Well they just announced Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica HD remakes for PS3 and 360.
