Anyone excited for the RE:4 and RE:CV HD remakes for 360:PS3

I'll stick to the Gamecube version, and play the game like it was meant to be played.

not really excited, i rather play the originals on gamecube or wii. what we need HD for is the likes of Sonic 1 to 3, Street of Rage 1 to 2, etc (16-bit era).

My thoughts exactly. I think it's cool to see a somewhat overlooked RE game like Code: Veronica get some attention, but it's hard to look at them releasing RE4 again as anything but a shameless cash grab. I don't think I'll be buying.

You know, if these remakes were more like the gamecube remake of RE1 there'd be plenty good reason to be excited about this.

I'm not excited anymore since NA is getting a download only release. I absolutely refuse to buy digital only release. I may import the game, however, if it has an English option.

Hopefully, it will be announced for a retail European release.

I'll probably rent the Remake of Code Veronica to see if the tank-controls are gone. I couldn't stand them when I played CV on the Dreamcast. As for the *port of Resident Evil 4, no way in hell am I touching it. I hated it on the PS2 and I hated it on the Wii.

I already have RE4 on the Wii. And that one has perfect controls. So who cares if this one just looks better? UNLESS... they add strafing or some sort of really good PS Move functionality

I don't think there's any "might" involved... it's pretty much a guarantee both games will just be ports with HD visuals.

I'm excited. I might get CV since I haven't played it yet. Also, my Sony hating friend can finally play a good resident evil game. I'm trying to get him into it.
