I think that's definitely a girl thing. I had to work damn hard to beat my ex-fiancée at Puyo Puyo. She fucking schooled me every single time at Tetris Attack though. I just can't wrap my head around it. I think women's brains are just wired up better for that kind of multi-tasking. Like they're already setting up combos way in advance whilst managing their current task. The only reason I could beat her in puyo was because my reaction/input speed was much faster due to my more learned dexterity. She used to do some fucking insane combos.

Get her playing some Super Puzzle Fighter, that was also a favourite of me and my ex's.

My girlfriend kinda sucks at puzzle games actually. The only one shes stands a chance at beating me at is Tetris.

She prefers co-op gameplay anyway. She enjoyed Left 4 dead, Resident evil 5, Lego Indiana Jones (all her games, not mine) and kirby's dreamland 3 (this one's mine ^_^) co-op with me. We also downloaded and played through Castle Crashers and Scott Pilgrim together, and she played some Streets of Rage 2 with me for a bit too, but got frustrated because she kept dieing so resorted to punching me instead

I keep trying to convince her to play Gunstar Heroes with me, but she outright refuses, says it looks too hard.

Thats awesome she was willing to give Streets of Rage a try, but Gunstar Heroes is brutal man. Thats definitely not a casual game to play with the girl.

Gunstar heroes isn't that hard on easy mode. Just watch the power consumption, if one player comes back from the dead it saps half of the other players power.

It's all about sneaking in practice time.

I have a friend who excels at Bejeweled because it's sort of her job to, uh, 'bot' it. She can't do TETRIS or Puzzle Bobble. Another friend is great at Puzzle Bobble because she grew up with the console version, the arcade version, and the cell-phone version, but never really played any of the others.

Now, for the boys -- one of them is just horrible with non-TETRIS games because it was built into his calculator, phone, and PC. Another is a puzzle fanatic and is great with all three titles, playing with his family all the time, but lags behind in multi-player platformers and adventure titles.

If you take sex out of the equation, these four show signs of nurture over nature -- Subject-A is exposed to Bejeweled at least 6 hours a day, Subject-B grew up with Puzzle Bobble, Subject-C was probably forming TETRIS lines when they should have been studying, and Subject-D's addiction was supported by their family.

The more often one plays, the more set-ups, combos, and chains they can pull off. (Which, according to a columnist, is why her mom constantly whups her ass in TETRIS2 -- her mom gets 8 hours to practice at home while she's away at work.)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Jrecee wrote:HI RACKITGIRL HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT MOSQUES AND GRAPE POPTARTS???
Grape poptarts...not really a fan. I'm more of a cinnamon poptart girl, but I get the grape ones for my brother whenever I see them because he loves them!

As for mosques, I actually got to visit one when I was overseas. It was a really interesting experience. I have respect for the religion. A mosque at ground zero...well I can see why it would upset people, but its not actually supposed to be at ground zero. So I guess I'm cool with it.

They are a sweet (read: 95% sugar) "breakfast snack".

You put them in the toaster and they're delicious. They have "fruit" filling or a more candy-style filling like above, and come in frosted and unfrosted varieties.
