You basically post what you are doing at any given point or links you think are interesting.
You add friends to your watch list so you can see their updates.
What's nice is that you can post and get updated via your phone, pc, or whatver.

Very simple interface.
I'm not much for Myspace, Facebook, and the like, so I'd rather do Twitter.

Can you quickly add photos for people to see? If so, this could be a cool way to post the events of my Japan trip. I'd rather not deal with MySpace or a blog unless I really have to.

You can put links to photos -- I recommend Flickr for photo stuff.
