Let me tell you through personal experience, being a Shipping Department Manager, that UPS is absolutely HORRIBLE! We ship out square boxes and they come back round. Really?! I've witnessed these drivers on MANY occassios throw shit around because they hate their f'n job and it's unacceptable. Don't blame customers because you are miserable with your profession. Do something about it to change your life and don't take it out on somebody's merchandise if you are that miserable with your job. Even the customer service is completely horrible. I had a technical issue with their software and got the run around w/ the Tech Support, being transferred from one clueless idiot to the next before given the correct contact number to only get an "IDK how to address this issue for you sir". :x Even on a personal stand point, I have had them deliver my items to the wrong address & currently at my new address I have to wait until like 6-7pm at night to receive ground packages! Wtf?! I have never had any UPS ground packages delivered to me that late when I lived with my parents.

I find Fed Ex to be quicker, although more expensive, and some what more reliable. Customer service is a step up from UPS but not great either.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

My experience with FedEx has always been better as well. It just that often when an item of mine is shipped UPS its often out of my control. It seems strange but since this happened to me, 3 other packages I know of, shipped to friends and families, have had, some sort of error associated with them. Two were inexplicably delayed, and one where UPS never scanned an origin scan, and they were using a recycled tracking number, so it appeared the package had been delivered 2 years ago.

I still remember when I had a game system shipped to me using UPS. The package required a signature so I was a little surprised when I logged on the UPS website to search my tracking number and found that it had already been delivered to someone not me. All the more funny when they showed me the signature of the guy who signed it, who had 20 more syllables than my name and was not even remotely similar. I used to think the "signature required" way was fail proof. I guess not :P.
Though I did end up getting the package a few days later after they went back to the guys house to retrieve the package.

You do realize that these trucks are out very early in the morning all the way up till late afternoon/night. There are a shitload of places/homes that could possibly need something delivered. It just depends where you are on the truck route and whether or not there are a lot of stops before yours. At my parents they used to get here in the morning all the time; where I am at now I have received stuff in the morning but usually it is much later in the afternoon/evening... can't deliver every package by noon.

Speaking of shipping and all that, just the other day I received a FedEx package for the previous owner of the house I live in. Called FedEx, left the package at my door, and it was gone the next day :)
