Full House Poker

Post by Rurouni_Fencer »

Anybody else getting into the new XBLA Poker game?

When Microsoft was doing it's 1vs100 run last year, I got into it briefly towards the end of it's life-cycle - mainly just to meet up with friends and grab the achievements. It was cool that they did a game that was actually tailored to live-broadcast gameplay. But then they killed 1vs100 off, due to a lack of advertising interest.

Last week, I downloaded Full House Poker because my girlfriend and I recently got into casino-styled card games. I'm addicted to the game! I haven't spent hours played a game online like this in a long time! The match-making, (for the most part) works well, and I love the RPG-esque leveling-up system!

I've been playing it online for a few nights now for hours on end with strangers, and I was curious if anybody else here on RB plays as well and wanted to meet up!

The more you rank up, the higher you can wage and get cash advances.. I just reached LV 15 and can now start a table off with 5,000. Everything is no limit! You got it, you can go all in..

no no no...I mean can you bet like MS Points or some such? Can you win them? I really can't get into poker when there's nothing tangible at stake. I have no incentive to play smartly if I am just risking imaginary/character leveling points.
