I think that the orchestrated Phoenix Wright soundtrack (Gyakuten meets orchestra) is nothing short of amazing.

The tracks benefit a lot from the orchestral treatment, orchestras don't fit every game out game out there. The quality is top-notch and it includes tracks and suites from all the games. I'm throughly impressed with it and plan to get it soon.

22. God of War Trilogy Soundtrack - (http://vgmdb.net/album/18257)

This one comes with the Pandora's Box Version of God of War III as a 3-Disc downloadable collection, so I am going to count it as an OST. You can also buy the soundtracks to the 2nd and 3rd games separately, and the first game's soundtrack was officially released for free as a download.

Lots of sweeping epic fantasy orchestral pieces as the scores for these games. Well worth digging up.

So amazingly different. When I think of amazing OST, I think The Neverhood. I have it on my Ipod and it gets a lot of play while I am working. Terry S Taylor is amazing.

25. Mars Matrix and Giga Wing 2 OST

Two of the best scores in the DC library on one collection!

This thread is giving me exactly what I hoped it would - a chance to check out music that I may have passed up because I wasn't familiar with/interested in the game itself!

Keep 'em coming --- and don't forget the thread for unofficial stuff too: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 44&t=29286

26. Half Minute Hero (Yuusha 30) OST

Image

This retro-styled game has a fittingly... retro-styled soundtrack with tons of great songs, including some awesome guitar-driven rock songs. Definitely suggest you check it out it if that's your kind of thing. I played this game over a year ago and some of the more memorable songs still stick with me.
