lol, never played much of this one. Despite the epic ALL YOUR BASE legacy, the game itself seemed kind of sub-par at best from what I played.

It's been awhile though!...

A friend of mine got it CIB for cheap and we tried it. It was severly dissapointing. It felt very slow.

That said, it's not baaaad. Only not very good.

I have a hell of a hard time watching just my ship when the pods spread out and start shooting. They move exactly like your ship

I too felt disappointed with Zero Wing. Not only did it give the interwebz one of the best memes ever, it was made by Toaplan!

It's not the best of the Toaplan shooters, but it's still a good game. Having one of Uemura's great soundtracks behind it doesn't hurt either.
