Chyna is now taking beef with Snooki.. Can't really say I disagree with her feelings on this whole fiasco being a joke, but c'mon! You'd come back just to wrestle Snooki.. I hope this isn't a half-assed attempt at a ploy to bring Chyna back..

I didn't know where to go with this, but I wanted to get something of my mind about hulk hogan. I didn't want to do a youtube video because everyone has done a rant on him so I'm putting this up here on racketboy. I watched wrestling from 1983 till early 2003 all the time. Now I just watch a few matches but I read all the news and rumors and the turnouts of alll the weekly shows. I was and still am a hulkamaniac. I want to kind of give my two cents about the guy and kind of let people know more about hogan than just trash the guy. He made wrestling to what it is today. No one can deny that at all.
In the 80's he was the face of wwf/wwe. He told kids to have positive thought's do good in life work hard and never give up. TRAIN, SAY YOUR PRAYERS, AND EAT YOUR VITAMINS. He did do steroids but so did everyone else. Mostly every guy was shooting them up in the 80's. Wrestlers then needed to be big and huge like superheroes.
In the 90's he went to wcw and made that company huge also. He went from pwi most popular wrestler of the year to most hated wrestler of the year in a year's time. He created the NWO and nearly put mcmahon out of buisness. In the 2k years he came back to wwe and headlined wrestlemania x8 and x9. Now he's in tna. That is over 30 years that you heard about hulk hogan good or bad. Most of the guys that were in his era are either dead or out of shape or something and never heard from again and he still trains at his age.
Now people say he cant wrestle. All I have to say is look at his japan wrestling. For a 6 foot 8 280 to 300 pound guy he can wrestle and pretty good too. Just watch the match between him and the great muta in 93.
People say he never sold or lose to anyone. Really? Here is a list of names of the top of my head he either sold, lose to or put over. Goldberg, the rock, billy kidman, triple h, undertaker, ultimate warrior, earthquake, king kong bundy, ric flair, brock lesnar, savage, the genius, yokozuna. I could go on but he did lose to people either count out or for a later build up for a main event or he gave the ball to other people but every time gave the ball to someone people wanted hulk back.
People say he has the politics role. YES that is true but my only response to that is if he did not play the politics role would he have been that rich or still in the top spot? Yes i agree he had politics in the back but i think if your on top for soo long and you don't see anyone who can or match your personality in the wrestling world, why give it up. Belive me,other vet wrestlers do the same.
People say He's killing Tna like he did in wcw. First he did not kill wcw. Wcw had all the wrestlers and drive to be a good company but there was no vince mcmahon. Too many peolple in the backand not final person like vince making the final say. That's it. Now with tna, Dixie carter and eric and hulk know that they cant compete with wwe. Yeah they got caught up with the whole monday night wars and it failed but I believe that they wanted to relive the wcw days days and it didn't work. And now there trying new stuff and they are making mistakes but hogan is a very smart man. Give him time and and not just a year or two. Look did vice get to where he was today in a year or two? He worked with his dad till 83 then he took it over and it still wasnt as big until 85 or 86. Tna has alot of people who work their asses of and in time it will be a good company not as big as wwe but good.
There are a few thing that people always argue about the guy. But give the guy some slack. He put his body thru hell giving us wrestling today. He went thru a bad divorce. Saw his kid in a bad accident. Lost alot of wrestling friends thru drugs and overdose. Now he's back in the buisness he love's. I'm sure he still talks to vince and made peace with him. Has a new wife and found god in his life again. Just let him do what he does and lets just enjoy tna and wwe for what it is worth today.

I like Chyna. I'd love to see her return and kick the living crap out of all these Barbies that are only at WWE to look good have 0 wrestling skill. Well excluding the recently returned Trish Stratus.

On a related note, Awesome Kong has signed with WWE. Who doesn't want to see Awesome Kong vs. Chyna? That would rock.

You make some very fine points, and I agree with you that Hogan made the industry what it is. Growing up as a Hulkamaniac myself, I'd be lying if I said I never felt goosebumps every time he returns to "Real American" and hearing that enormous crowd pop.

But while you're right - Rome wasn't built in a day.

However, don't end a PPV that people actually paid for with a 10-second burial. That pisses people off! Hogan, Carter, Jarrett, everybody in the back should know better than to allow a wrestler who's clearly unfit to perform even appear on camera - It was embarrassing to the company and it was pathetic!

I agree all the way.The thing is we dont know how bad jeff was. We don't know if tna knew how messed up jeff came into the building or if he was fine that afternoon and while getting ready he was messed up. But tna knew it was a bad move and that is why they are giving everyone their money back that ordered the ppv.

Thats not true. they are not refunding the cost of the PPV. Instead TNA is giving disgruntled customers six months free access to TNA's online video library. At a normal rate of $3.95 per month thats well short of reimbursment for the full PPV price.

I'm starting to suspect that the whole Victory Road controversy IS a work in order to generate subscriptions from tnaondemand.com. Giving six months away will at least give the bean counters something positive with increased web traffic, and the fairly cheap monthly price will entice SOME new purchases. Maybe TNA is that desperate for ANYTHING they can consider a long term, positive investment.

I would not put it past them to create controversy in order to steer more people towards another source of revenue, because I bet their PPV buys are very low. And it's been apparent for YEARS that they are unable to create new stars or memorable, compelling storylines. Lightning has struck for them a few times (AJ Styles career, Angle/Samoa Joe feud, Knockouts, signing Ric Flair...) but for every step forward they take two or three back.

Good point taken. I just hope they can figure something out before it's too late. I seen video of everybody getting together and working together hard to make good matches, promo's, and story lines. It seems they everybody cares about the company but they just need a few things to make it work and i hope it works well.

I was listening to a wrestling podcast this week and it sounds like they have pissed off a LOT of people with the Jeffy Hardy mess. They may have lost fans and business from this.

I just hope Matt finds success in TNA. I have ALWAYS viewed him as the better Hardy, but Jeff was always more popular for some reason. I just hope Jeff's fuckups don't hurt Matt in any way...or himself or anyone he may get into the ring with for that matter I hear Matt had an excellent match with AJ Styles and apparently he has Ric Flair coaching him now.

I loved Matt's run as ECW champ in the WWE and I was kind of pissed when he had that great feud wwith Edge over Lita, but Edge pretty much buried him. I guess I should blame the bookers for that.

I guess I'll chime in on Hogan. I view him the way I view Triple H. They've been a part of wrestling history for a long time and I have plenty of fond memories that involve each of them. So I do sort of respect them for that. I loved DX and I loved Hulkamnia. I don't let that cloud how I view them though. I know they are both power hungry dicks who have probably used politics to move up the ladder and stay at the top while keeping others down.

In spite of that, Hunter's The Game and Hogan's the Hulkster. Part of me will always love and respect them even if they are kind of dicks in real life. I just try not to think about the real life stuff when I see them on tv and just enjoy them as The Game and The Hulkster. Sometimes you have to be able to seperate the person from the character. When Tom Cruise found Scientology and started acting crazy a lot of people boycotted his movies. Not me though, crazy or not, he never stopped being a great actor...and I will still proclaim Chris Benoit as one of the best wrestlers ever......even if he was also a murdurer
