Took off the list - cruis'n the world, banjo kazooie, pokemon stadium, bomberman 64, zelda: majoras mask, mario party2, mario party 3. Maybe another one or two I forgot.

Any list of top 100 N64 games without both zelda games is wrong imo :p

Just found this thread and I am confused. We cant have two or more games in the same series? Seriously, WTF. As stated before, every other list has multiple games in the same series, why can't n64?

Rule two: One game per series. I don't want to see three posts for each Mario Party game.

EDIT: Looks like that's not the first time that rule was broken.

I think everyone took that to mean "one game per series per post." Every single other "top 100" thread did that, in response to some people posting things like "entire Mega Man series" for a post. Why insist on having this top 100 be different than every other one?

Not really. As I said, it was a refinement of the rules to reflect an issue that was previously raised. What you did was completely change a rule.

Here are the rules for the TG-16/PC Engine thread:

-Please post only one entry per post (no "series" or compilations).
-Please wait until at least two other posters have posted before posting again.
-This list is open to Turbografx-16 HuCards (Turbochips), CD-ROM games (system 1.0 and 2.0/2.1), Super CD (system 3.0), Arcade CD games, and Super Grafx games.
-List the media the game is on (HuCard, CD-ROM, Super CD, Arcade CD, Super Grafx) and if it is an import
-This is not in order of greatest-to-least-greatest, it is a build-as-we-go list.

I bolded what I added. The "no series" one makes sense in light of what happened before. The other bits make sense because the TG-16/PC Engine is largely an import system. There is also a lot of confusion around because of some games needing different system cards. Knowing whether a game needs a System 2.0 card, Super System card, arcade card, is Super Grafx only, or is import only is essential on the console. The TG-16/PCE is the only system that is this complicated, and therefore really needed things to be more specific.

It would probably be useful for this thread to specify games that require the memory expansion (as it would've been on the Saturn thread as well).

In other words, there was a legit reason for my refining things. To be honest, t would've been good to have import-only games noted in the Saturn thread as well.

I'm not fussed really. I think we should be able to have more than one entry for a series too, but at the same time, I don't really care all that much. It's gonna be hard to get 100 games on N64 without repeating a series though XD

Christ, kids, really? You're arguing over whether to include one game or a bunch of games for a top 100 video game console game list, which happens to already be entirely subjective based around one's own opinion?

Now, I can think of one legitimate reason to allow multiple entries from the same series on an N64 list, but that's mainly because the console had fewer games than some of the others that had lists like this proposed.

But let's face it, of all the things we could be arguing about, it's whether to include a single entry or multiple entries from a series on a list of N64 games, many of which some of us have likely never played. The point of this is that we're supposed to be having FUN talking about it and seeing what people say, not arguing over an arbitrary set of rules. You want to argue? I can go link the Mosque's thread. Hell, there's an argument involving Inazuma in the female gamer thread in Off Topic. Those are always fun.

Also, Rakuga Kids deserves a slot on the list.
