Hmm, I guess I'd really like to "recollect" some I've lost or sold over the years (and regret it. Now I stopped selling videogame stuff several years back and don't regret it!)

Wii - I really want to play Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros, DKCR, and the Prime Trilogy. Gotta get ready for the next Zelda too.

GB/SP - I've got a GB pocket but I'd like something like this that's a little more reliable and could play old color GB games. Plus I just love the layout of the SP's!

Sega CD - I had the JVC back probably 12+ years ago and loved it, sadly sold it at the time when the N64 was new and I really regret doing that (especially with how rare the JVC's are now). But I'd like to get the Sega CD again in some form. I've also got a model 2 Genesis, but I'd like to get an original model 1 sometime just because they're awesome.

NES Top Loader - Just one I've always dreamed of having, when I have the money someday.

Turbografx-16 - Would be awesome to own one of these.

me too. I gather that's the "wrong" way to say it... but I can't really shake it.
I say it "Rye You" too, though the game tells you how to say it. "Sho Ree You Ken".

I say "Gray Dius" myself, but apparently "Grah Dius" is correct.

Do you mean where did he get the gif, or who is the character? I believe the character is Usagi Yojimbo.
Yup, Miyamoto Usagi from Usagi Yojimbo. It was one of my favorite comics as a kid growing up. I was a huge TMNT fan, and started reading Yojimbo thanks to the old crossover issues.

The actual avatar is a gif I found and shrunk down (to meet requirements.) It's from the Commodore 64 game Samurai Warrior: The Battles of Usagi Yojimbo.

I actually don't play Street Fighter 4, as I dislike the 360 controller for fighting games, I lack a stick to play it, and I don't have the PS3 version. For Street Fighter games I used to play as Chun Li a lot, and Ryu is almost always a fallback in any SF or Capcom fighter compilation game.

Dan does appeal to me for a few reasons though: 1. he's better than people think, and 2. he's considered insulting to win with, and 3. I usually have fun playing with him, even if I lose.

As for my avatar choice, I originally went with him because everybody thought he was a joke. I have a generally sarcastic and ridiculous sense of humor, so I thought it would be funny to have a joke character giving a pained expression as he reads my posts. From there it just kind of stuck, which makes it even better as this is now my banner over at Backloggery.com:

My girlfriend hates that banner.

Dan is also the character of choice for anyone with SNK leanings. In his parody of Ryo Sakazaki from Art of Fighting, he actually comes really damn close to imitating the Kyukugenryu masters competence as well.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

It's funny, I always think of Ack when I see Dan now, and I always think of Niode when I play Metal Slug.

And I associate the enemy soldiers being shot by Niode as people who don't search the forums before creating a new thread.
