I remember when I had to fill a form from the American government, all the guys who were living with me in Florida were confused, we were supposed to mark our ethnicity.

Since we are Brazilians, and Brazil is in Latin America, we're actually "Latinos". But we all had different skin colors and so we had to ask an American friend how we should fill the form.

He told us that we should just consider our skin color. So I marked "white", a friend marked "black", and I really don't know what a "brownish" girl who lived with us chose.

We spent some good minutes discussing the matter. These forms are horrible.

P.S.: I still don't know what I'm supposed to mark in this poll.

If "American" is supposed to include Canada, no vote. Canadians and Americans are different, no matter what argument you may have to support that bizarre opinion. Same continent != same people.

I'm not American, so that won't work. I am part North American Aboriginal, but it's Native Canadian... which wasn't in the poll. I guess that would fit under Native American, since North American Aboriginals have freedom to live and work anywhere in Canada/USA without worrying about silly things like passports or work visas.

But... I'm only like 8% Aboriginal, so that doesn't work.

The rest of me is English/German/Irish. I mostly identify with the British culturally, so I guess that makes me white European? Then again, I'm very entwined with Japanese culture since I lived there for quite a while, my wife is Japanese and I party think Japanese (I think...). However, Japanese people are unlikely to ever consider me Japanese even if I became a citizen there.

I put white European, but that really isn't true.

Therefore, I am beer:

Taiwan is spelt wrongly, and you forgot to include Mongolia in East Asian (amongst other things, but that would make for a very long list).
