BurningDoom wrote:So has anyone heard about Jeff Hardy? Last night at the TNA PPV he showed up all messed-up. Bischoff came out, said some stuff on the mic to hide his real intent, but whispered something in Sting's ear then told Hardy something with the mic pulled away. Afterward the match lasted under a minute and half. Hardy has been asked to stay home for this week's Impact tapings.

Apparantly Sting was very upset, and I'm sure a lot of fans who paid for tickets and ordered the PPV were peaved.
Damn, Jeff is always in trouble it seems. When is he ever going to get his act together? He was in the peak of his career in the WWE and then flushed it down the toilet and now he's messing things up in TNA too?

Reminds me of RVD, another guy who totally blew it just when he was on top of the world in the WWE because of his "vices". I remember when he had TWO championship titles, went over John Cena in a match for one of them and was about to have a WWE promotion(the new ECW)built completely around him and he fucked it all up

It's a shame about Jeff Hardy - He'd have a lot going for him if he just pulled his act together..

Anybody else go ape-shit crazy when good ol' JR came out to confront the 'Cole-mine'?

The difference being that all RVD was taking was marijuana, and the fact that he spent most of his career working matches while high. WWE full well knew about RVD's vices and there wouldn't have been an issue had he and Sabu not been pulled over by the police and caught in possession - Jeff Hardy on the other hand is a prescription pill popping junkie who was apparently so out of it before the PPV that TNA officials couldn't locate him, but eventually found him half-unconscious on a bathroom floor. Yeah.

Pretty good Raw. I enjoyed it. It ran over a lot, though. I guess this is WWE's strategy to get people to actually tune-in, rather than DVR it. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they don't get ratings hits with DVRed programs.

The Rock's promo sucked. I mean how bad ass is it to make a little kid cry? And I can't believe he still did it from home, even after he's been called out by both Cena and The Miz for doing that very thing. I still think Cena is a tool, though.

I'm VERY happy we didn't see Sheamus go. I'm a Sheamus fan. I hope this is the beginning of a new push for him. I still don't feel like he belongs in the main-event scene yet, but at least mid-card and on his way there. I started wondering if his contract was really up, and actually worried for a minute.

I LOVEd the announcement that Edge & Christian are going for the tag-team titles. They probably won't win it, they've both gone on to successful solo runs. But it's still gonna be cool to see them in a tag-team match together again.

Michael Cole is REALLY milking the heel role, and doing it well. I mean the glass cage? Come on, don't even tell me you didn't want to see Jerry Lawler or Stone Cold or someone push the whole thing over with him in it. That would have been freaking hilarious!

Good to see Trish back, too. She was the last of the actual female WRESTLERS in WWE. Isn't it funny that she's the only one returning from the Attitude Era with big enough balls to actually get in the ring again?

My only complaint is that we need some more in-ring action. Put some high-flyers in a match in-between the promos to get our blood pumping.

I do love Trish, as I do a lot of the WWE's Canadians. I am not used to her new hair color yet, but I do tend to prefer girls with dark hair so it works for me. It goes without saying, but my god does she look good. I think I read somewhere that she is a yoga intructor or something. That just puts naughty thoughts into my head. She looks like she could easily jump right into the women's division and still be awesome if she wanted to

Seeing Jim Ross was fantastic. Someone on a wrestling podcast I listen to predicted that Jim Ross would be involved somehow but he thought Ross would be revealed as general manager. Everyone in this storyline is connected to him-even Jack Swagger in a non-tv way-so it made sense to see him

I actually thought the Rock's promo was brilliant. He address the Miz calling him out, he made it publicly known that he WILL show up on Raw which pretty much kills the ONLY really good argument Cena had against him and he didn't make a kid cry. He made "John Cena" cry. I bet that kid and his family are getting a nice fat pay check.....and he got to meet the Rock and be on tv. Honestly, I think the Rock buried Cena with this one and what happened later with Miz was the "physical" version of that as Miz completely destroyed Cena

Miz, by the way, WAS JUST ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT LAST NIGHT! He deserves his Wrestlemania spot and they are pushing him hard right now

Kudos to Shamus, but where does Daniel Bryant go from here? I kind of liked the guy

Thumbs down to Randy taking out ALL of New Nexus. Damn, remember when Nexus was the most dangerous thing on Raw AND Smackdown? Wade Barret and the Core are somewhere laughing right now. I did laugh when a guy in a wrestling podcast I heard about a week ago referred to Orton's punt as, "THE DEADLIEST MOVE IN ALL OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING!!!" People just dissapear after he hits them with it

Anyone else finding Shawn Michael's video interviews are actually just making them wish for a Shawn Michaels/Undertaker 3? Seriously, Trips has BIG, FUCKING, HUGE shoes to fill this year and I don't think he's as good in the ring as The Heartbreak Kid. Not that it matters, it's fucking Triple H. The audience will get into the match at Mania I'm sure

And hey, no one is likely to say anything about it, but we saw 1/3rd of Too Cool again, which was....sort of cool. I'd actually rather see Rikisha show up and dance again

And now I fully expect sevin0sevin to pop in at some point with a cool pic or video

Wouldn't it be great to get J.R. back full time? Probably won't happen, but the thought of Jerry "The King" Lawler and Good Ole J.R. back on the Raw announce team together would be enough to make me mark out.

JR should do the entire 'Mania. Would make sense, being that Cole and Lawler will probably be backstage preparing for their match, and too bumped up to work the table afterwards..

Personally, after Wrestlemania, I wouldn't be one bit surprised to find out that Cole is the General Manager of Raw - he's played his heel-role so perfectly, I feel it's a waste to just keep him out there on the table. I could definitely see JR coming back to Raw, and Cole doing the General Manager thing backstage. Can't you just imagine the little rat-bastard in a swank little office in the back, computer monitor adorned with his face, pictures of him all over the wall - calling shots from the safety of his new Executive Cole Mine?
