Smile: I have a quick second to once again post on this awesome forum.

Ticked: Best friend's wife unexpectedly died last week, the reason for my absence from the board. Gimme a few days and I'll be back with the funny.

Speaking of...If you ever really, really need to cheer a friend up, leave the room for a brief second then come back in butt naked with your wiener wrapped around your wrist and ask "what time is it?". Trust me. It works.

Smile - site works and finally had some downtime at work
Ticked - rumor is they might scrap my part of my department very soon. Like Friday soon. Every week for the past two months they have been evaluating performance and trying to trim the fat. So its been militant and very much "caught looking at a none work site you are fired" kind of place.

I've been playing Birth By Sleep on and off since it came out (My first "first week release purchase") and I'm on Aqua's story right now (Already did Terra's and Ven's). I haven't even started Chain of Memories but I got the ps2 version cause I heard it was better.

unrelated to video games.
I just completed my first art work graphic design. I show my best 3 font designs to one of my other teachers. He agrees with my art work. Class started wanted to print in color, but couldn't instead I went to print it out in computer lab in black and white. Class begins, one douche starts to critique everyones artwork. I said to myself my work may be good enough to show. This flat douche starts to talk about my work how horrible it looks. Shit he can barely see my stuff from an angle. My teacher likes 1 or two of them to turn in, but needs slight editing and other one could be fix better. I'm alright what my teacher has to say to me. But this douche really a bastard. I believe he is foreign student because of the european accent. He makes weird faces during the critique which was pretty creepy. I felt my art work was good enough to be shown, I revised 3 or 4 (lot of hours) times to make it look alright. I wonder what would he have said if it was in color, Im so dam curious. One other person tried to judge my work, but she didn't have her work (she look like someone out jersey shore Snooki). This first critique should have fair and equal. The douche said nothing positive. So I thought about it, Critique on his dam work. His stuff was worse and simple . I said I could not read one of them because text is a illusion. No direction or shift with the characters. Very low contrast on his work. But seriously this person doesn't need to critique on everyone work, let someone else talk for a change.

My teacher did agree upon the illusion in his art.

Ticked: Had to scrape gunk and grime out of these old speakers I had as I was restoring the woofer surrounds.

Smile: I now have a pair of fully functional vintage Marantz speakers that only cost me a combined grand total of $30 for the speakers and parts.

Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

I have a bachelor's degree of Fine Art in Filmmaking and I had to take many graphic design classes, typography classes, etc along the way. I have met a lot of people with that negative attitude towards every piece of artwork they see that is not their own. The best thing you can do is take it in stride and ignore them if their critique is not backed up with sensible explanations. Some people like to talk a lot without having any idea what they're talking about. I always chose to take the critiques of people who's work I really admired to heart and ignore the students who's critiques were just so that they could hear their own voice.

Jesus, that sucks. I'm sorry. Also remind me never to invite you to my girlfriend's funeral.

But do invite you to the wake.
