Before anyone tries to say it, I'm sure that he's worried about Japan's citizens more than these game releases. We're a gaming forum after all, though, so this sort of thing is relevant discussion.

Yeah, I don't mind waiting. Japan's recovery is more important that our playing video games. To the companies developing and producing these titles, take all the time you need. I'd rather you be safe.AppleQueso wrote:Before anyone tries to say it, I'm sure that he's worried about Japan's citizens more than these game releases. I kind of expected Disaster Report 4 to be canceled. It would be in very poor taste to release it after all of this.

I disagree.. The events of the game are completely unrelated to what is happening in right now. It's stupid to cancel a game over something like this.AmishSamurai wrote:I kind of expected Disaster Report 4 to be canceled. It would be in very poor taste to release it after all of this.
Re: Earthquake Disaster affecting video game releases in Japan
Delaying your game release because of all the horrible shit that's going on in Japan makes sense to me. People are busy dealing with recovering from the disaster and are less likely to buy video games. Especially games that involve earthquakes/tsunamis. The Japanese people probably wouldn't enjoy playing that kind of game right now.
I disagree with outright canceling a game but the creators of Disaster Report must feel that they won't actually make any profit with their game so they have decided to cut their losses now.
