Pokemon Black- Nintendo DS *NEW*
Dragon Quest IV- Nintendo DS *NEW*
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes- Gamecube *NEW*
Mario Kart- Nintendo DS
X-men Arcade- XBLA
Dragon Age: Origins- PC
Mass Effect 2- PC
Pokemon Black was absolutely amazing, DQIV was great (used Maya, Meena, Alena, and my Hero), but the final boss was more of an endurance match than anything. I don't think Twin snakes was as bad as people say, but it was much easier than MGS.

Ah Fighting Games - the great stress reliever. Finally pulled out my import copy of Garou and gave it a whirl. I beat it but it was sloppy and I kept getting the impression that I was only barely scratching what the game had to offer.
I understand now why this game gets compared to Street Fighter 3 so often - it really does have that technical feel. And the artwork is just fantastic. The Neo Geo hardware must have been pushed to its limits with this one.
Edit: Also ran through SFIII just to get a comparison to Garou. The two games really do feel like they could have been opposite sides of a coin. It's not going to happen, but I wish that Capcom and SNK's collaborations were still going on - a SFIII/MotW mash up would be a perfect follow up to CvS2.
Edit 2: What can I say? When I get nervous / stressed I play fighting games.
Street Fighter EX3 is a weird game. It's not bad game but it's definitely got about 4 or 5 gimmicks too many with no effort to build a more comprehensive game around them.
Real Bout Fatal Fury Special is a LOT of fun. It is frantic and frenetic - and it always feels like the match could go either way. A definite change of pace from my usual Street Fighter or KoF ways.
KoF R2 was pretty fun. Great selection - and the inclusion of the New Face teams Orochi forms was a nice touch. Would have been nice to have someone besides 'you-know-who' for a boss but SNK tended to phone it in on the dream match game bosses.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Games Beaten : 2011
I'm lagging way behind on you guys.
Something Amiss (Flash)
Assassin's Creed II (X360)
Magicka (PC) *New*
Magicka is one of those games that I think I loved and hated in equal measure. I loved the humour and the references to Star Wars, Monty Python, Gaming culture and RPG cliches. I loved the elegant casting system that required you to think outside the box as the difficulty ramped up. I absolutely hated the constant back tracking because I got killed by some lame cheap death or one hit. It's so frustrating to cast a beam spell and have it back-fire because the enemy cast the exact opposite beam spell at the exact time it hit them. Causing you to instantly die and go back 10 minutes. I was stuck on chapter 11 for nearly 2 hours because of stupid shit like that happening. In multiplayer I could see this being hilarious (and it was hilarious playing through half of the game with a friend, I highly recommend it) but solo it's just frustrating. Great game, but marred by unforgiving difficulty spikes, and the unpredictability of the magic system.
Games I wish to beat:
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (X360)
Alan Wake (X360)
Bad Company 2: Vietnam (X360) (I'll consider it complete when I've got all the achievements)
Deathsmiles (X360) (1CC)
Mass Effect (X360)
Alundra (PSX)
Alundra 2 (PSX)
Chrono Cross (PSX)
Tomb Raider (PSX)
Tombi! (PSX)
Broken Sword (iPhone)
Infinity Blade (iPhone) (All weapons maxed and level cap reached, since you can't really count killing the God King since the game just loops)
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney (iPhone)
Metro 2033 (PC)
Napoleon Total War (PC)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Series (PC) (In anticipation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2)
Should give me enough to go at.

1. Deja Vu
2. Lunar Legend
3. Skies of Arcadia Legends
4. Streets of rage 2
5. No more heroes 2
6. Rogue Galaxy
7. Pokemon White
8. Dragon Age 2
9: Call of Duty: Black Ops(new)
I've been trying to play more recent games, instead of arcade games which is what I mainly have been playing lately. I wish games with a bad story and great gameplay didn't even focus on the story.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Ps3)
Soul caliber 3 (Ps2)
Super Mario world 2: (Snes)

Super Mario land 2 (Gb)
Resident Evil 5 (Ps3)
Radiant (iPod)
Space invaders extreme 2 (Ds)
Ginger's Hidden Adventure (Fresh steps minigame) (PC) *NEW*
Total: 11
Ginger's hidden adventure is a very short game (three "levels") where you basically click on the items listed at the bottom within an "I Spy" book like picture. It is also timed so the game challenges you to beat you previous time, etc. I loves cats and only listed this "game" because I found it hilarious. Plus I haven't beaten a game in a while. Currently working on Paper Mario TYD, Pokemon Platinum, and sometimes Dark Forces.

01/16: Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within (PC)
02/16: Sanitarium (PC)
03/15: Give Up Robot 2 (Browser)
Often, I don't add browser games to this list because a lot of them are simple and quick. This game I'm putting up because I actually feel a bit of pride for making it all the way to the end.
Give Up Robot 2 reminded me that I actually can be skillful at video games. I sometimes feel like I have "lost my edge" because I don't succeed as well at competitive games as I used to or games that require a lot of manual dexterity. But this game was really hard and I made it to the end. I think the level design is just brilliant and part of why I was able to beat the game. You start off with some simple challenges, but they just build on each other. By the end you are doing some crazy maneuvers and I felt surprised by my own ability to pull off some of the crazy swinging jumps required to win this game.

Trax for Gameboy
Super Mario RPG for SNES
Ikaruga for Gamecube
Mercs for PSP
A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! for PSP
Psychonauts for PS2
Firemen for SFC
Crash Bandicoot for PS1
Outrun SP for PSP *new*: This is the mode on Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast I like the most. The Outrun 2 modes involving racing just don't feel like Outrun to me, I guess since Outrun's more of a driving game than racing game. I really enjoy playing it and always pick the cheesiest music to get that authentic Sega feel.
Raiden II for PS1 *new*: This is awesome. I'm pretty sure I've beaten it (there are no ending credits) and I'm sure I'll beat it many more times. After spending time with this and the original Raiden I can really appreciate what it brings to the table. The music, graphics, weapons, and challenge are all top notch and it sort of feels like the quintessential shooter to me: not the very best but has great representation for everything that makes a good shmup.
Kirby's Adventure for NES *new* This was a lot of fun but didn't control nearly as well as Kirby's Dreamland on Gameboy. Kirby didn't feel nearly as nimble here but the weapons more than made up for it once I figured out the timing on them. Let's just say any complaints I had against the game were gone when I played the last level before King DeDeDe. Cramming Kirby's Dreamland into a level and making it black and white was nothing short of brilliant.
