if you had to chose 2 between the xbox, gamecube and ps2?

everyone seems to like either the ps2 and gamecube together cuz they like japanese RPGs or the Xbox and ps2 together because they think the gamecube has too many kiddie games..

no one really seems to like the Xbox and game cube together..to me Gamecube and Xbox go together perfectly.. you have your japanese rpgs and you cartoony game on your gamecube and you wester rpgs and your more violent games on your Xbox.. i honestly don't think the ps2 is that great... it's not bad, but i think the gamecube and xbox are both better.. at least for me anyways..

so if you had to pick 2 which would you pick?

I'd pick PS2 and another PS2 as a backup.

A few years ago, I'd have had the Xbox on the list, more for its potential as an emulation box than the handful of original games I'd play on it. At one point I may have even included the venerable little purple/orange/silver/black box .. for a number of reasons. The handful of Nintendo exclusives that were fantastic (vs. the mostly dreck they've spewed on the even littler white/red/black box).

I suppose if you put a gun to my head, I'd say PS2 and GC, solely for the game variety.

I said ps2 and gamecube. 99% of the games on xbox that interest me are on ps2, which I grew up with and I'm used to the controller/console (I dislike big controllers like oXbox). I love Sony. I also love Nintendo so I can get all the luigi's mansion and animal crossing I want on gamecube, plus all the other nintendo exclusives.

Actually, I vote for Xbox and PS 2, only because I can think of a few more memorable titles that I have played on the Xbox than the ones I have played on the Gamecube. That's just purely subjective of course, as I think the Cube can match the Xbox for number of quality titles. In fact, it probably has more but I appreciate the Xbox for giving me Panzer Dragoon Orta, Buffy, Kingdom Under Fire, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Otogi, Stubbs the Zombie, Jade Empire, Ninja Gaiden, Hunter the Reckoning.

I don't think the Xbox gets enough props for some of the quality exclusives it had, but I guess the same is true of the Gamecube

This poll is pointless, ps2 is clearly the top dog because of the monster library and backwards compatibility. You can keep the other two choices.

I own a PS2 and a Gamecube, but not an Xbox. I guess that answers it.

XBox. Morrowind alone cements that decision for me. Then you add the Halos and all the great multiplayer games that looks best on XBox. I know I'm in the minority, though. I'd pick PS2 as my backup, as it has the largest and most diverse game library.
