not bad for the price. Everything work ok?

it does power up, but one of the transistors that controls the coil is bad, my dad already pulled it and is getting the part tomorrow, so we'll see after that (dad is an electronics tech :) )

the guy i bought it from has a lord of the rings and he picked up a T2: Jugdement Day yesterday, he said he was getting bored with the street fighter.

Apparently the rubber rings for bumpers, posts and other parts on this machine seem to be made out of a natural rubber that dries out after a few years, best to snag a replacement set for cheapo quick! Bad rubber on your bumpers, posts and flippers means slower chunkier gameplay and lots of stuck balls over time. Not to mention it's a nightmare when the bands snap while the machine is on and jam up inside the parts.

You can get the kits in black and white or red and white on ebay for under $20:

There's also a red, black and white version of the kit, but it's more expensive at $25:

Also, I have to say that Chun-Li simply looks scarily weird  :

Gotta love how in the good old days companies would just license without any real care in the world with hilarious results.

Learning pinball machines is really fun, they're about as complex of a game as they come, but insanely simple to fix after you learn the innards of your particular machine.

Also, if you didn't get one with it or haven't already bought one, grab a manual for it:

This like the service manual for a car or instructions for a do-it-yourself kit is absolutely essential and will become your best friend when it comes to fixing it, changing game modes, etc....

LOTR pinball is one of my top 10, the only newer pinball on that list.
I've been keeping an eye open for pinballs on craigslist but I don't have the cash to dish out right now, so I just sit there and dream....

Another Gamestop item.

PS2 Code Lyoko - $5.99
Okay the reviews call it crap. But a few things got me to buy it.
1. Released in 2008 towards the end of new releases for the PS2.
2. Has different virtual worlds, a budget PS3 Mirrors Edge look for the PS2.
3. Digital Sea level pic in the game manual reminds me of a basic Rez.
4. Lost Vikings inspired, each character's ability needed to complete a level.
4. French game with part of the game manual in French, okay thats different.

Gave it a go, a basic platformer so far. Run, shoot a target and find the exit. Nothing spectacular, but I'll see how that Digital Sea level compares to Rez. My hopes are not too high, but maybe the rail shooting level might be interesting. The switch of characters on the fly similar to Lost Vikings brings back that style of gameplay. Since both the digital pad and analog stick does the same thing this game can also be played with an Arcade stick.
