Dude, this is not the thread for that...

Yes it does both ways. The video shows what it felt like inside and outside earthquake. I was surprised to see someone who resembles Luigi during the earthquake sequence. Its like no one cares about Luigi, but I do since I was 5 years old.
Ummm.... errr.... I'll just choose to laugh.

A bit unrelated, but interesting for me personally, this was the first earthquake I experienced: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Fukuoka_earthquake.

either way I knew you would laugh. I can't believe it was your first big one 05. Yes I know Japan had a bit of disaster. That is why they called it "The Ring of fire"... It hits us both ways.

That's great to hear, hopefully the others are just not able to get through on their phone/PC/etc.

As a NZder, we had our own deadly quake only a few weeks ago.

Pretty sick of tremors right about now.

I'm from a part of the world that hasn't has a quake in known history. The Fukuoka one in 2005 was my first quake ever. An M7.0 quake is a pretty crazy way to be introduced!

Man, just sucks to be in the Pacific the last few months. Two major earthquakes and the flooding. :(

It's already started in Kanto now... Food shortage and & gas (plus kerosene) shortages and the scares of shortages have already started spreading. I just stocked up on food & gas but who knows what the next few weeks will be like. :(

best of luck to everyone surviving this aftermath. it's going to take a lot of determination. i understand the japanese are a very determined people, though, so i'm hoping it will be positive. i'll be donating to a relief effort as soon as i can find one that's through a non-profit. i'd suggest that the rest of you who are able do the same. every little bit helps.

thoughts are with everyone scrambling to make contact with loved ones. i can't imagine what that feels like. :(

Damn..........

Americans and Canadians tend to stock up on food quite a bit, with are large freezers and storages of non-perishables. In Japan, I know people often buy as they need things and don't often have more than a few days/week's supply of food in their home. I'm thinking that those who stockpile a month's worth of food or more have it right. I really do worry about how things will go for those without extra food.

Yeah, my friend said her local groceries are emptying out...and she lives in Yokohama! She also said she had to wait a long time just to get gas.
