I disagree. People collect for many reasons.

Personally I buy basketball games that have Celtics players on the covers for instance. Others collect launch/end games, like dsheneim who may still be after Madden 08 for GCN. Other people collect rarer games, so NCAA 2K3 for GCN is quite sought after. sevin collects like any NBA game actually. Don't be so hasty in assuming that just because they're sports games they're throwaways.

At the least I'd throw them in a lot and charge SOMETHING for them. Who knows.
I can see your point, but it's pretty tough to find a buyer for this kind of thing. Just like you said, there aren't an awful lot of people that are specifically looking for Madden 08 on GameCube. Sports games just happen to generally be the most common games in print... any visit to a retro game store will tell you that much. This one place by me has a bin that's literally overflowing with Genesis/SNES sports game carts. It's not like people are trying to buy the games to play them either (as far as the EA yearly update games go). So unless you have a copy of something that's sought over in particular, it's hard to not write it off as worthless.

I know what you mean. I'm just saying that if it were ME, first I'd say "here's the list of games... anybody after any of these?" and then once the list is picked over, I'd say "okay the remaining 25 sports games are $10 shipped. Or something like that. I mean like Roruni said, someone may just snatch em up cheap just to get some jewel cases or something. So to me they're not exactly worthless.

I'm sure someone would like to use them for making repros or something. Al at AtariAge is always looking for common atari carts to make repros. I know StoneAgeGamer sells empty genesis shells for Everdrives. Maybe email him and if you have a pile you could get store credit or something.

Even though it should of been the called Lakers vs Pistons since that had been the finals match-up.

What systems? All? I know I need copies of NBA Basketball that saves for development. Either that....or Kirby. Hence why I need those. But I can hook you up with some people to sell your NES games too. Just send me a mail, and don't throw games away. :(
