This is more than frustrating...
I just hate Microsoft so much
I tried to log into my hotmail account today only to get a message saying my hotmail account has been blocked because some one is sending spam out of my account.
If I want my account back I have to get a mobile phone and they will send me a code
My country is not supported,
so I filled this long form with all kinds of information what is in my account
with few emails(its pretty hard to remember the e-mails), a folder in my account, I mentioned a saved draft since 1997 in there, and told them what is my inbox mostly filled with, and the last person I added to my msn live.
They gave me a message back saying its not enough and I failed. WHAT THE FUCK!
What more do they want me to do?
they want me to remember the alternate email and the secret question?
How can i when i did this 13 years ago, I was in 7th grade damn it.
their "solution center" is hard to navigate and use, I keep clicking links only to find myself back to where I started, so typical of Microsoft.
I am not sure how to deal with this, any one found a similar situation and got out of it?

Have you ever heard of Gmail?
I'm sure you'd like to keep your old address but if you can't Gmail is a good alternative.

I don't use Hotmail, but I have an email address I've been using since 1996 or 97 that I'd be pretty upset if I lost it.

Re: Hotmail account blocked
I use Hotmail, never had a problem. It's a very old account (I think it's from 1999), so I don't want to get rid of it. I feel OP's pain.
Re: Hotmail account blocked
Simple. Get a GMail account, tell Hotmail to forward everything there.
Then, send an email from your Gmail account telling everyone you know that they need to update their addressbooks.
Quick, painless, way better than hotmail.

Same here. I don't need a remote web site EMail. Good old reliable direct PRIVATE EMail without all the bloat.Hobie-wan wrote:I don't use Hotmail, but I have an email address I've been using since 1996 or 97 that I'd be pretty upset if I lost it.
Unlike some online Face accounts I can send FULL sized pics.

i got multiple emails and i use gmail, but how can i make sure this never happens again hotmail or gmail?
This account is very dear to me , i literally grew with it, i dont want to lose it
Re: Hotmail account blocked
I don't blame you for wanting to save the account. I received a free Gmail address when I graduated college, but I've had one on Yahoo! for year (Yes, it's old, but it's my first one and...Don't Judge Me!) and I'd be upset if it suddenly disappeared. Maybe you could contact them again and explain what's going on and ask them if there's any OTHER information they can ask of you that'll free up your account? I'm not sure. I hope you figure something out though.
