Emulation Controller Adapters

Post by Marspants »

I know these USB adapters for older controllers are everywhere but I was curious if I could get one to do all/a lot of consoles.
I keep finding relics here and there but nothing available. Even a DIY would suffice but I'm short on leads.
Anyone look into this? Seems like it would be something beaten to death and I can't seem to find anything on it

Well you can find some that are universal adapters and will work with a number of systems but not all of them. What systems are you using? You could also build a universal controller using the MC-Cthulhu chip if you have any skills with electronics.

The Blissbox is awesome. I had Sean make me one to hook a Saturn 3D controller to PC. It works perfectly.
For DIY stuff:
http://www.raphnet.net/electronique/ele ... e_en.php#1 Raphael has guides and parts as well as a store for his controller adapters.
http://www.gamesx.com/ has controller pinouts.
http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick.html has more controller pinouts in the PCB section and is a very detailed guide on making your own arcade controllers for many consoles out of original controllers boards or wires.

I don't say this particularly often (because the looks of things like this generally don't bother me, but the blissbox is HIDEOUS.
