Re: Pokemon Black and White
I got both Black and White cause KMart was having a deal where you buy one and get the other one 50% so with tax it was like $55 for both.
I also got the Collector's Edition Black and White strategy guide from Amazon for around $16 shipped and the book is fantastic.
I wanted to get all three starters in my white version cause that is the one I chose to play so they could be registerd in my pokedex. Nintendo made it so that you need to beat the first gym leader in order to trade so I had to beat the gym leader three times (once in White and twice in Black) so I could get all three starters. That wasn't very fun, but at least I have all three now.

I also got white and started with tepig. I'm in the town with gym 5 now. My team is Pignite (evolved tepig), Drilbur (mole), Archen (fossil bird), yamask (egyptian ghost) and Palpitoad (blue frog with no arms).
I previously had a Swoobat and a Stoutland but I got rid of them because I want to use some other stuff. The same will happened to Drilbur after it evolves. The great thing with this game is that with the Audinos everywhere, levelling up new members is a synch, so I can afford to chop and change far more easily than before.

Got Black, started with Oshawott. Team is now- Dewott, Conkeldurr, Simisear, Trubbish, Sandile, and just caught a Joltik, who's definitely becoming a permanent addition. Simisear may eventually leave the party though.

Been sporadically playing this game for about a month now through fan translations. I must say the grass starter is probably the most worthless starter to date.

I dont really see how he's any less useful than treecko was back in the day. He only got Pursuit, aerial ace, return and leaf blade.....almost exactly the same as snivy, only at least snivy gets a decent attack boosting move via level up.
They do need to start giving the grass starters more variety in their moveset though, they are limited all too often.
Re: Pokemon Black and White
I beat the game last weekend and loved it. This is probably the best generation and most of the Pokemon weren't worthless. I'll probably add some more of my thoughts in the games beaten thread. I beat the elite 4 with a Escalvier, Emboar, Braviary, carracosta, Vanilluxe, and Zweilous. What did you all beat the elite 4 with?

Wow, you guys were such high levels. Did you grind a lot.
When I beat the game, my team ranged from 46-48.
