Re: Do you own multiples of one console?
I have 3 NES systems, 3 n64's, 2 Xbox 360's, 2 GBA's...I was given 2 of the NES and N64's by random people who didnt want them, I bought my second Xbox 360 for 20 bucks, but it needs a new cd drive, I just got it because it was a good deal incase mine shits the bed... I was given one GBA by a friend and the other I got for 10 bucks with 5 games, which was a great deal. Most of the extras are just in storage. I didnt really go out to try to get spare consoles, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time quite a few times.

I've got that set-up, even with the Sega Power Unit Converter. Probably for the same reasons as him:Ryvius wrote:Is that a model 1 Genesis and Sega CD? Haha, can't say I've seen many of those around...Hobie-wan wrote:There are no PS1s, but this was a loose stack of stuff I did last summer.
1. Genesis Model 1 is compatible with EVERYTHING!
2. Sega CD Model 2 loads faster than Model 1.
3. Genesis Model 1 is the only model compatible with the Sega Power Unit Converter without having to hack off the back of the thing.

Re: Do you own multiples of one console?
In the past year i've got a backup Dreamcast and Saturn, just in case. I've had the DC since 9/9/99 and who knows what the secondhand Saturn's have been thru.
I've also got a non working fat PS2 in addition to my refurbished slim... the PS2 had a disc read error until I started tinkering with it, now its a very nice looking brick.
And I can't forget about the 3 Atari Flashback 2's and 5 model 1 Genesis (Genesi?) that are in various states of use and disrepair that I picked up on the cheap.
EDIT: Hours later I remember about my two Vectrex consoles. About my only drunk Ebay purchase I don't regret.

Re: Do you own multiples of one console?
Got 2 ntsc/j Dreamcasts.
2 ntsc/u DCs.
1 multi region pal DC and around another 25 pal DCs.
I got 13 of them in a job lot described as spares or repair.
After swapping around the lasers and control ports I got 9 of them working.
Also recently got 2 Saturns, a model 1 and model 2.
