Favorites:
Breaking Bad: Can't wait for the next season. Why so long?
Black Books: British humour at it's best! - Bought the DVDs and everyone loves it. Lent out constantly.
Two & a half Men: Yeah, I think Charles is the best a man can be.
Mad Men: Don Draper is the best dressed. My friends and I go out on the town wearing his best to pick up chicks. What can I say - it works (wedding/funeral - ice broken so drop the pretense and split up after a group drink).
Colbert Report: I'm not American but the humor is universal.
Dennis Miller Live: I don't want to go off on a rant here but...
Mr. Show: Nobody knows about this for some strange reason. It's hit and miss sketch comedy but it constantly makes me laugh.
Worst:
Keeping up with the Cardasians: Why? Why do people watch this crap?
Dancing with the washed up stars: OK I can understand girls watching this and guys being forced to because of said girls, but it's bad!
Food Network: If you watch this regularly, you're either real old or (possibly working on getting)fat. Why not just eat several bricks of butter and have a heart attack?
ET: Agreed with RB - this is the worst. Nobodys stalking and putting down celebrities. None of it matters and the entertainment value is nil.
I try not to watch tv and only catch it during visits to family and friends but they all have it going 24/7 so I watch too much vicariously. Animated stuff left out because it's probably OT.

After LOST ended, I haven't really watched tv as much as I used to. I don't really hate any shows but most of the ones I like already ended:
Tv shows I like:
Lost (personal favorite)
Adventure time
Regular show
Pokemon (older episodes)
Dragon ball z
The office
Man vs wild

Can't stand: "reality TV" - sure I liked Road Rules to a certain extent about 15+ years ago but after that it got tired real quick.
Love LOST
Still watch:
American Dad (kinda losing interest)
Family Guy (in hopes that it will get better again)
Smallville (S9 now)
Conan
Will watch if I have time:
Friends
Cheers
old Simpsons
Star Trek TNG
etc

I know what you mean. All other dramas just seem so simple and less involved than LOST. From something so good, it made me realize how much isn't worth watching on TV.SwooshBear wrote:After LOST ended, I haven't really watched tv as much as I used to.

Yeah I've been watching Conan regularly. He's been doing great!hashiriya1 wrote:Conan is the only show I watch regularly.
I watch the Daily Show and Colbert too, but it's getting to the point where I can't even watch a comedy news show without getting pissed off about the state of the country. You can only make fun of evil for so long before it stops being funny and just becomes depressing. If we had a functioning news media instead of just propaganda outlets, maybe Jon wouldn't feel like he had to be so responsible, and could be sillier.
That is *all* of the current TV I watch. I've also been going back and watching old episodes of MST3K and Get a Life.

I just saw the finale of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Good stuff. I can't wait for the return of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. It's a shame Andy Whitfield can't star anymore.
Shameless is absolutely hilarious. This is the only time I've ever liked the "Americanized" version of a show more than the British version. The stateside version of the show has better pacing, more laughs, and more endearing characters without all the melodrama that bogged down the original British version of Shameless.
Speaking of "Americanized" shows, Episodes was a surprise hit about a British couple who see their hit TV show destroyed when it's remade by Hollywood idiots. I didn't expect to like this show, but every episode leaves me wanting more.

Re: What are your favorite TV Shows? Which can't you stand?
I haven't really watched TV in over half a decade. I've like what little I've seen of the following though:
How I Met Your Mom
The Middle
..er that's about it for recent TV actually...
Enjoyed Monk when it was on.
Liked the Boondocks when it was on, mainly because it's almost a spiritual successor to Norman Lear's works in a way.
That said, love watching what I can of Norman Lear's shows, either by DVD or Youtube(or some similar site):
All in the Family
The Jeffersons(probably became my all time fave)
Maude
Good Times(at least the first 3 season, with James, anyway)
One Day at a Time
Sanford & Son
Also still love the following classics:
Married...with Children
Three's Company
I Love Lucy
The Honeymooners/Flinstones(same difference)
Get Smart
Taxi
Looney Tunes(seriously, plenty of humor there a child is not going to get)
Tom & Jerry

Re: What are your favorite TV Shows? Which can't you stand?
seinfeld. without a doubt. i watch at least 1 episode every night before i go to bed. somehow, i've managed to watch more hours of seinfeld than i have been alive. i know this sounds impossible, but it is fact.
than in a distant, distant is full house, curb, and lost. family matters, home improvement, and step by step can be thrown in the mix as well. unfortunately, no stations air step by step anymore so it has been a while since i have seen an episode. also, saved by the bell. tbs: everyday from 7am to 9am. dvr that shit.
what do i hate: the episodes of saved by the bell with miss bliss and saved by the bell college years. i also hate the later seasons of home improvement.

I don't see why there's so much hate for Lost. Out of curiosity, why do you guys hate it?
