The browser...
I am in constant search for the better browser to use
I found that there will never be 1 single best browser, but keeping a couple
around should help.
My latest venture is using Opera browser on mac OS X
I was wondering if any one would like to say anything about the software
advantage or disadvantages over other browsers?
Do you use it, are you against it?
and while we are at it, whatever happened to Explorer?
is it still around? I hardly know any one that uses it
What do you think of Opera?

You mean internet explorer? It's just inferior to pretty much every other browser in pretty much every way. It's kind of a joke.kingmohd84 wrote: and while we are at it, whatever happened to Explorer?

Still, lots of people use it, mainly people who don't know much about computers.

Re: What do you think of Opera?
I'm not a big Opera buff personally. But an opera singing gave birth to the Marx Brothers movie Night at the Opera, which is HILARIOUS. But I do know that Luciano Pavarotti was an amazing singer. But I listen to more classical music than operas, but that's just me.
But as far as IE goes, it's pretty much only used for is to download Firefox

If Netscape were still around I'd take that over IE. Yikes!
I used Opera for a long time but went back to FF and haven't switched back since. Safer, more plugins, etc, I dunno I just kind of prefer it just because.
I haven't really tried out Chrome much yet.

Re: What do you think of Opera?
A couple years ago, I tried using Opera but I didn't think too highly of it. Too many browser incompatibilities & crashes.

A better browser than what and why ? Just use what works for you.kingmohd84 wrote:The browser...

I have no real thoughts on Opera other than I have to make sure my website works in Opera but I use Firefox mainly as I don't see any reason to change.
I used to use Internet Explorer but it really started to fall behind and then I switched to Firefox since it was and still is faster than Internet Explorer and has lots of useful addons while other browsers such as Chrome have come along to they don't really do what I want them to.
Chrome is too minimalistic and Opera is well Opera neither here nor there.
Internet Explorer has gotten better with regards to rendering but it still has it's quirks.
Btw most people still use Internet Explorer it has the lions share of the internet users
that's why despite most web developers wanting to ditch the browser because of all the problems you have to work around when making websites Xhtml / Css compliant.
Although as a user I don't see why you should have to worry about web developers just use what suits you best.

How misleading was that title? I thought there was a fellow opera lover on racketboy.

It's OK. I was at Don Giovanni the Sunday before last and it was a pretty good show. I can see how it was really big 200 years ago before amplification and all that. I still prefer rock and roll though.
