Why didn't he start on Level 1, seems odd not to video tape from the begining. I can barely reach the top of the mountain until the boss beats easily because my character energy is so low.

He did start at level 1. He has a lot of videos of him playing NG on the dance pad.

I know the guy from Metroid Metal forums, pretty crazy stuff. It's insane enough as it is with a regular controller!

Beating the game on a DDR pad is not the problem. Beating the game on a crappy DDR pad like the one he is using is!

What are you talking about? The Mario Mix pad is the best one I've ever used.

Haha, then it's not saying much!

It's a soft pad, it simply isn't good. They slip and "fold" when playing fast, making it impossible to beat anything on them without modding. . In fact several times during the video he stops playing to move the pad because it has slipped so much he can't continue. (5:25, for example).

Then you clearly haven't tried the GameStop pad.

They're both awful, that's not really helping your case. You need to use a REAL pad.

I blog about games and art. Usually both at once. Check it out at your own risk.

Yeah, this guy is ridiculous. I had a hard enough time beating that game normally. Can we really verify its authenticity? If I'm remembering correctly, the first Ninja Gaiden even had limited continues.
