I'm glad they decided to keep it black rather than make it white to match the Wii.

Also, I'm happy to see it will work with VC games.

The VC should bring some of the better old school fighting games.

I know they are also doing a King of Fighters Collection which will have quite a few games on it.

Samurai Shodown Collection this fall, what else could you ever want it for? Ok a Last Blade Collection, or download, would make it perfect.

I just hope it registers the same buttons needed for the classic controller on the Metal Slug Anthology. If it does, I will order two.

There are a growing selection of 2D fighters making their way to the Wii actually. Theres about 3 or 4 NeoGeo compilations, 3 Street Fighter 2 variations on the VC as well as a serries of other VC fighters. So I think that it is a worthwhile purchase. I personally would just stick to the Playstation 2.

Where there any Gamecube arcade sticks out of interest. I think that there may have been a Soul Calibur 2 stick but thats it.

Does this plug in through the Wiimote or the GC port?

This really should have been a Gamecube peripheral, since most likely any fighting game designed specifically for the Wii will rely on Wiimote motions, and not function on regular up-down-left-right controls.

I bought a Gamecube to PS2 converter for my Wii, and plan on purchasing a pretty nice joystick to use on VC/GC fighting games.
