HA I meant to type Dawn of Sorrow. I have played too many of those damn games to keep the names straight all the time.

Lufia's good and action, though I don't know how obscure it is. Ys I & II was released as a single DS cart, and they're also action RPGs.

Avalon Code. You own a magic book that scans the "code" of objects, and by adding and removing aspects you can alter the fundamental nature of things. Fighting Iron Ogres? Yoink out that iron, and suddenly their defense and HP lower to reasonable amounts. If that's still a pain, add the "disease" aspect and suddenly they're feeling kinda ill.

I wouldn't call it that obscure, but Tales of Innocence is a very fun 3D action RPG. It wasn't released in the US, but there is a finished translation patch for it.

I'll vouch for this one too. I was about 3 hours in, then my .sav file on my flashcart got corrupted. But I had a blast those three hours, even though I was probably fucking up painfully with character builds.

I'm looking for some more game recommendations as I'm starting to use my DS more. Any suggestions? Btw, I already ordered Plants vs Zombies and Geometry Wars.
