Hard to say. It seems like a lot of cult classics retain their value, because the people who want them are the kind of gamers who collect rarities. The GCN version might drop, but I can see the DC version maintaining it's value. A lot of DC fans are pretty hardcore.
On the other hand, I've noticed a lot of NES carts getting cheap once released on Virtual Console. That's cool with me, because now I can hunt down ones I want.

i just picked up a copy for gamecube for 25 off ebay about 2 weeks ago. if you look you can find it for less than it "usually" goes for. and plus the actual physical copy always retains it's value pretty well. look at all the other titles that got released on xbox live or vc and you'll see that they still keep about the same value.
