Do you play more than one shmup at a time?

I was just curious if people hop from one game to another or if they just focus on one game at a time. I figure if you focus on one game you get a higher score but for me at least I feel like I burn out on the game faster if I stick to one game.

I often play 2 at any one time but the two tend to be very different, because as you said cramming all your focus onto a single shmup can cause you to burn out easily.

I dont think I have played a Shmup for more than a couple hours before putting it back in the shelf.

I usually play for a couple hours with a friend or two. I tend to jump around between a couple different games.

Thats how I used to be but I started playing for score rather than just using continues and beating it and calling it a done deal. Now I'd say a game isn't truly complete until you've beaten it with one credit. However some games like Ikaruga I still haven't beaten on easy with all the continues. :?

No, I have enough trouble with one. Having to use two gamepads at the same time, and looking back and forth between screens would be tough. I guess you could train yourself to go crosseyed and look at two screens at the same time, and maybe play one of the games with your feet.

I'm not good enough at them to focus on just one. I usually switch around just to experience them, but I kind of continually play my favorite 2 or 3 all the time.

It depends on its difficulty, but usually I focus on one at a time. Right now I am working on Gun Frontier and next week I'll probably switch up to its 'sequel', Metal Black.

I just tend to play one for a bit then play another one for another while. For example I might feel like playing DonPachi. I will play it until I get bored and then play something else.

I usually find it's easier for me to focus on one shoot 'em up. I don't get burned out very easily and I suck, so I need the extra focus. :P
