I just got an iPod (yeah I know I'm behind) and tried to import my music folder into iTunes to put stuff on the iPod.
In iTunes I seem to have double of many songs, but I know that I don't have double mp3s on my HD.
Could it be from the 00 m3u playlists and if so what is the best way to fix this problem?

Re: iTunes Question...
File -> Show Duplicates
Find out which ones are not organized properly in your iTunes folder by right clicking the song and select get info. Select the bad ones and hit delete.
It should be all the first or all the second ones displayed.
i.e.
Song A
Song A 2
Then you can just select all the top ones or all the bottom ones

Re: iTunes Question...
Awesome. I deleted all m3u and that cut down a lot.
In the options I moved all files to the iTunes folder, do I need to consolidate too?

Re: iTunes Question...
No, consolidating your library just means moving all your media to your iTunes folder, which you have already done.SpaceBooger wrote:Awesome. I deleted all m3u and that cut down a lot.
