Has anyone played any of this yet? It looks like it comes from a pretty good pedigree, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet?
Any opinions?

I've only played a little bit so far but I really like it. The soundtrack is amazing.

I've played about 10 hours in, and so far it's been really enjoyable. The battle system has just enough complexity to it over DQ that you can apply a lot of strategy without getting too bogged down in things like "you must exploit the system or die a firey death".
I also like the time travel aspect of redoing history, and they did a fantastic job of making sure that you can skip past repeat events with minimal fuss. A few of the cross timeline connections feel a little odd to me, though, as doing something further in timeline A affects something previously in timeline B, but that's a minor complaint.

I am only about 5 hours into it, but I think it just seems that way that doing something further in timeline A affects something that should be occurring earlier in timeline B. There might be more events in timeline A and the game isn't lining up the event lines correctly, so timeline A looks longer since it has more unique story events. There relationship in time might not be all that different.MrPopo wrote: A few of the cross timeline connections feel a little odd to me, though, as doing something further in timeline A affects something previously in timeline B, but that's a minor complaint.

Very true, which is why I call it a minor complaint. There's obviously no timestamps on all of these but they do try to sync up the marks of when a chapter starts, so one timeline will get a longer empty line to get those to match. But the chapters might also not actually sync up at the same "time", but rather just mark out major shifts in the conflict between the two powers.saturnfan wrote:I am only about 5 hours into it, but I think it just seems that way that doing something further in timeline A affects something that should be occurring earlier in timeline B. Re: Radiant Historia
I got another strong recommendation today from an RPG colleague of mine
Re: Radiant Historia
I'm planning on playing this after I beat Advance Wars for the GBA. I've been really interested in it a week or so before it came out. Who worked on this game again? I heard it was directed by a guy who made some pretty good rpg's back in the day.

I'll have to check this out sometime. I have been looking for a new DS RPG lately and I heard good stuff about this title.
