How to remove permanent marker from games ?
I traded for some rare games at a local store (didn't give up much), but they all have an initial on them written with permanent marker . It's two Gamecube games and two Ps2 games BTW . How do I safely get it off ? Thanks !

The writing is just on the game discs no where else .

As long as the printing on the disc is shiny, electrical contact cleaner will remove most permanent marker. You would need to be careful with whatever cloth or paper towel you are using so you don't catch any grit and scratch through to the reflective layer.

Thanks for the help Hobie and CRT. I'll try it out on some crappy games I have and get some practice . The writing is real small and looks Chinese . Would it hurt the value of the games if I left it ? It really isn't a big deal since I traded away about $15-20 worth of games for them

Re: How to remove permanent marker from games ?
If you have intentions of selling the games then the answer is more than likely "yes". However, it all depends on the buyer's preferences. If you decide to sell the games make sure you state up front that the games have writing on them and be sure to give pictures (if selling online). But hopefully you'll be able to get the writing off.Shinichi Chiba wrote:Would it hurt the value of the games if I left it ?
