did the zipcode check and none of my other local stores have Yggdra Union PSP in stock. If anyone can nab me a UMD-only copy for $10 it would really be awesome! :)

Moved from other post, figured more appropriate here.
Sometimes the multiple search doesn't work.

Bah! I just went to six Gamestops today trying to find the Greatest Hits Silent Hill 2 version to augment the original release I already own. No luck, all had the black labeled discs. As a tease two had the Greatest Hits cases but unfortunately only original release games in the drawer. There are two customers with the wrong disc inside, when these sell then it will be four.

noiseredux wrote:so today I ducked into a local Gamestop and was really happy to find Yggra Union complete for PSP used for $10. I bring it the register and the clerk cannot find the actual game. He checks multiple places and says he's really sorry but it's just nowhere to be found. I said "oh man... I keep seeing the game at other Gamestops, but they never have the case or manual and I only buy games complete." He said, "yeah I'm the same way." Then he proceeded to just GIVE me the case and manual for free so that I could pick up the disc-only copy next time I saw it and then I'd have a complete copy.

Fucking evil heartless bastard, right?

it wasn't really a joke as much as just pointing out that there are good experiences to be had at GS as well. Sorry if it was a problem for you.

Yeah, that's GameStop employees, which are usually gamers like us. They're not heartless. I posted about how a GameStop employee gave me a free game once. It's the company that sucks. But all big companies suck, so whats the difference?

Silent Hill 2 GH is not rare, period.

right.

anyway, I thought it was a cool story -- and seemed more at home in this thread than the "finds of the day" thread.

I still have resting on my shelf a copy of Gamecube Ikaruga from Gamestop. I remember it's from Gamestop because some asshole clerk put the sticker on the artwork spine instead of the outside plastic, so it is not possible to remove it without damaging the cover. The people who work at the gamestop near me I love however. An example of their awesomeness, for the midnight release of Smash Bros Brawl, they not only did a tourney for the game, but they gave out free cupcakes and juice.

On an unrelated note, how does everyone feel about Play n' trade? I personally think they're usually overpriced, butthey have better selection and I occasionally get a good deal, like last month when I got a saturn lightgun for $5.
