Semi-chrono would be nice so you could see the evolution of the game. Random is ok too, as long as you don't include too many off the same era games in a row. Variety is the spice of life, eh. Also, what sytems would you limit the games too? If you choose TurboDuo or NeoGeo games or other expensive games, which most people cant afford, you may lose some people. Also those of us who do not like to emulate may get left out, if you choose some really hard to find titles.
Voting is even anymore either, semi-chrono is winning!
Retro Gaming Club: Random or Semi-Chronological?
Is emulation REALLY that big of a deal?ott0bot wrote:Semi-chrono would be nice so you could see the evolution of the game. I think we're going to have to rely on emulation or way too many people will be left out. There's just no way otherwise to do this than to allow emulation. How could we even touch on any arcade games? Those things are just about impossible to find these days outside of a Dave and Busters or a bowling alley.

If it makes you feel any better, I have two jobs and incomes and no arcade machines (or Neo Geo)marurun wrote:Frikkin' people with jobs and incomes! I'll tell you, being a grad student is doing NOTHING for my gaming expenditures.

No not really, but I've just never really gotten into it. I like the whole physical aspect of playing a game on the consule. It's like playing a record. I'd give it a try if you have a tutorial with some links to help me out. Or is there one on this site already? I'm kinda slow when it comes to technology (i only got a ps2 a year ago!)....unless it's audio recording software and gear, thats really all I know.
