max cord lengths

Post by opticledilusi0n »

since i have given up on those guys over at play messiah ever making wireless dreamcast and saturn pads (instead it looks like they switched gears and decided to put some LEDS in a tube), i am wondering if anyone knows the maximum length for saturn and dreamcast controller extensions .

I am sick of either having my extension cords burned by the fireplace (someone turning it on when i'm not around with cord dangling), or people tripping over them . I would like to just run the cabling in the walls and use wall plates to snap my controllers into .

i really wish the total control adapter would allow for my logitech ps2 pads to work or there was a gamecube to dc adapter or something !@

I don't know if anyone has really tried it, but we use 100ft lengths of cable for digital signals here at work with no problems. I'd expect that to be okay. I'm not sure if the analog portion would work so well, as it varies in voltage, and factoring in signal loss, you may run into problems for light presses on the analog stick.
