Re: [PS3] Metal Gear Online (MGS4)
I'm broke and have nothing planned today. So I would be down for some MGO or Lost Planet 2. Send me a message through PSN if you see me there.

How about we try to get together next weekend? Looks like some of you have school too. The weekend nights would be great to get some MGO in.

Sounds good. I'm actually ready for a game now if anyone is out there.
I am usually free after 7:30 on Saturdays and all day on Sundays. Unless my wife is off work and wants to do something.

Re: [PS3] Metal Gear Online (MGS4) online meet ups thread
So I'm having a good time tonight!
You need a Konami ID for Konami that has nothing to do with your PSN ID. You then need a game ID that is tied to your Konami ID and to the games you can play online through their servers. Fine, I set that up awhile ago. But I can't remember my 4 digit pin for my game id. Konami's site doesn't allow you to reset this anywhere... at least anywhere that I could find. You can reset your Konami ID password, but you can't reset your GAME ID pin.
So I said to hell with it and deleted my entire Konami ID and created a new one. No big deal. I log into it. WHAT??? my old character is saved on the PS3 Hard Drive? Where? Why can't I just tell the game to delete it now? You want me to buy another slot? Oh hell no.
So I delete all my MGS4 data on my PS3. Everything. Now I enthusiastically look forward to waiting 3 hours for all of the rubbish Metal Gear Online updates that have stacked up over the years to download. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the character data still remains hidden somewhere on my drive and the game still denies me online play until I purchase another slot.
This game and its updates can go fuck themselves.
edit: I'm tempted to take this fucking game to work and leave it on a table in the break room. Or give it to my worst enemy. Or use it to find out just how tough blu-ray discs really are.
edit #2: I haven't even beaten this game, but I'm so pissed right now. I mean... I just want to set it the fuck on fire.

I like this game so far.
I highly recommend not destroying your game.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: [PS3] Metal Gear Online (MGS4) online meet ups thread
Found out how to reset my Game ID password. Not that it matters. That account is deleted.
The MGO update was a bit faster to download tonight. It finished in about 45 mins... only to install for another 10.
I logged in with my new ID only to receive the same message about my character being tied to another account. I googled the issue only to find out that your character is tied to the PS3 you initially created it on. This basically means that I can create all the new accounts I want, but I'm still going to have to pay to play Metal Gear Online with the same Playstation 3.
I honestly don't know what to say about this design. I understand that it is completely my fault for deleting my account when a few more minutes of research may have led to a solution. But to punish someone this sternly over deleting an account? This isn't a security measure. It's not even a deterrent put into place to prevent you from purchasing a used copy of the game. It's just greed.
Again, I realize this situation is my fault and that I deleted my Konami ID and therefore guaranteed that I will have to fork over money to the big K to play Metal Gear Online again, but I'm simply stunned at this policy that antagonizes the end user.
