cleaning games

For now I was given the advice to use a little window cleaner on a q-tip, but I doubt that's the best way. What do you recommend? I ask cause apparently some solvents can hurt the prongs but have gotten mixed opinions.

Someone just needs to write a guide on cleaning games. Sticky it and just freaking bold and underline the title.
