4. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing (360) - 1000/1000
5. Bully Scholarship Edition (360) - 1000/1000
6. Conan (360) - 1000/1000I actually knocked out most of Conan late last year, but on my final playthrough on the hardest difficulty I got stuck on one of the bosses midway through the game and after numerous tries I walked away from the game to play other things. Typically that would have been the end of that and I would have let so much time lapse after I quit playing that by the time I went back to the game my skills would have atrophied and I never would have been able to complete it on the hardest difficulty setting - and I sure wouldn't want to start over knowing I was almost done when I had quit.
This year I'm trying to take a chunk out of my backlog, and one part of that is finishing off the games I stopped mid-playthrough for whatever reason. So I picked up Conan yesterday and plugged away until I completed it.
I got Conan for $5 new from a bargain bin at a local electronics store and I enjoyed it, especially for that price. It's kind of a God of War wannabe with gratuitous gore and ridiculous topless women that need to be rescued. I probably would have thought it was the best game ever when I was 12... but 12 year olds nowadays are probably not as easy to impress.
It's a pretty fun action game though, and I really liked the music in it. The last boss is a pain in the butt on any difficulty, and on the hardest he's just awful. I got to his final form with one hit worth of life left and then spent about 2 hours trying to do the final part perfectly so that I wouldn't get one hit killed, and I've had plenty of experience beating him on other playthroughs, so inexperience wasn't an issue, he's just plain cheap and the camera fights you the whole time. Ugh. But in the end I persevered and did it.
Oh, and it's probably obvious by now, but if not I'm only adding items to this list when I've totally completed them. Cause I'm a weirdo. Technically I "Beat" things, but until I finish everything I don't see it as completed. (Which doesn't bode well for me ever finishing my backlog in my lifetime...
