More Cave goodness for the 360; Akai Katana & Nin Nin Jump
Re: More Cave goodness for the 360; Akai Katana & Nin Nin Jump
As I understand it getting a US 360 to play imports isn't nearly as easy as it is with older systems (PS2, Saturn) and you risk console bannings. It's much easier to just get a JP 360.

Akai Katana is a day one purchase for myself. The others I will have to think about long and hard. Shmups and Fighters are really my only cup of tea these days. With some Rock Band and Gears of War mixed in.

There are no Regio free Mod chips for the 360 so you would still need a Import machine .
Or a Jtag console of course but these are very hard to find .
Akai Katana will not be region free as Cave stated that ESPGaluda 2 BL was the last RF game to come out , that does not exclude more region versions like Death Smiles of course .

Jtag looks like a not so hard mod to do. I guess if you wanted to buy a premodded Xbox then it'd be hard to find. I like the idea of buying the games and keeping them clean but running the games off the HD. At least there are some options. Maybe when I have some cash laying around I'll splurge for a used system. I wonder how hard it is to repair busted RROD systems because I see busted systems on Ebay all the time.

A Jtag mod is not so hard but finding a 360 with kernel 2.0.7371.0 or lower , aka early 2009 system or older without any MS updates is !

You can't wipe it and load the correct version yourself? I have to say this gen's systems have some of the best security. The PS3 was like a brick wall until recently but at least it's region free.
