Still a fun movie. Wasn't quite as good as I remembered it, but still held up decently well. Gotta love Daffy vs Donald.
Coincidentally, they are showing Space Jam on tv right now. Good nostalgic fun

I have to say I loved that movie too. That was the first film I watched where Jim Carrey was in a serious role and I was very impressed.

Fewer and fewer movies tend to stand the test of time. Upon watching The Goonies for the first time in years I came to the conclusion that it's not that good, and the hidef transfer has made it even less wholesome.

The Social Network (2010) - In what is probably Fincher's best film since Fight Club, a strong cast, a string of well executed shots, a well paced narrative, and a pitch perfect soundtrack make this film a strong contender for film of the year. Not only is the story itself infinitely more interesting than I thought it could possibly have been, but the film accomplishes the task of making everything seem like it is occurring in a real, believable setting with real, believable people playing the lead roles. It gives you that "fly on the wall" sense that some of the best documentaries can, even if this immediacy falls apart in the last act of the film. Eisenberg is excellent as an entirely convincing Zuckerberg, as is the rest of the cast (even Timberlake) in their own roles. The film manages the feat of being repellent and inspiring at the same time, which is remarkable.

I've had that with Die Hard 1 and 2. They look so dated when you watch them now...
That's happened to me a couple of times lately while I've been watching some 80's movies. Usually I don't notice it until a certain incident pops up and ruins my concentration. Say, somebody needs to make a telephone call, and I'm sitting there going, "Why don't they just use their cell pho-....Oh. Right. 80's...." Oddly enough, it didn't bother me so much watching The Goonies a couple of weeks ago. Strange that.

one flew over the cuckoo's nest

a few years back my mom bugged the piss out of me to watch this movie. i gave in, not because i wanted to, but because i was stick of hearing about. i am glad i caved in.

the movie played saturday night on TCM, not TMC. and surprisingly, it was commercial free and uncensored. i wonder if TCM does this to all their movies?

it kind of has a sad ending. i didn't tear up, nor was i about it, but it is kind of sad.
if you took a shit, please put it back
