I dont see why not, it was largely overlooked, has a great library of games and all those new wii owners also own a way to play GC games.

not unless the homebrew is as easily accessable as the dc's was. most dc's shipped with the ability.

agreed, the DC revival and popularity is due to its adaptability.

even at its height the GC homebrew scene never compared to the DC or xbox.

I hope that the Wii's back comp does manage to open the door for more people to enjoy GC games because I love the system but unfortunately most of the people that I know who have a Wii don't have any interest in the GC. Pity.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

I lov e the GC, but I cant see it having quite as epic an afterlife as the DC, as it doesnt have as much of the 'arcade at home' feel, and overall there are not as many brilliant games on it as the DC. Also the difficulty of getting a decent/RGB SCART for the things might marr them somewhat too :p - I rpleayed so many of my GC games on the Wii, just because of the RGB cable which is easy to get for the Wii. Also due to it being playable on the Wii, surely it can never be as well remembered as the DC

The gamecube might, though I've never really owned one, I have to say the games I enjoyed the most where the Dreamcast ports.
