Study Japanese?

I've been studying Japanese for about a year - havn't even touched kanji yet (though I've picked up some on my own; not nearly enough). Yay for children's mode in some Japanese games! Also been to Japan three times in the past couple of years - you get a much better perception of the langague and culture being there. I was fortunate in that each time I was able to spend several weeks there, in last June for almost a month.
