Priority mail should only take a couple days to get to where I'm at, so I hope to see it today. If not, I should definitely have it by the weekend. :D

Well I got mine in the mail today, and I'm really not sure how I feel about it now. I like the look of the system and the games work well, but there are a few things that bug me.

- The controllers feel very stiff and the d-pads stick from time to time, but hopefully this will go away the longer I play.
- The NES cartridges are kind of loose while in the machine. I accidentally pulled the machine towards me an inch while playing, and the game got scrambled.
- The sound on the NES games is much louder and distorted for some reason.

I don't know, I'm a bit disappointed overall. :(

You don't think the seller on eBay would offer a refund, do you?

Ok, so I found out I had a couple NES carts that were given to me a while back, but hadn't been properly cleaned. These were the ones I had issues with, so after cleaning them, the NES portion of the Retro Duo is working fine.

Looks like I'll be keeping it after all, although I need to get my hands on some official SFC controllers, because I just can't get used to the ones that come with the Retro Duo.

The Retro Duo is supposed to play just about every game, including ones like Castlevania 3 that didn't work on the FC Twin.

Yep, that's the controller, except mine is black/red. It's slick looking, but feels a bit stiff, especially the d-pad. I don't know, might just need to break it in a bit.

Does it have the regular SNES ports? If so, just get some original controllers or ascii pads. :D

This thing is starting to grow on me, and I'm glad I purchased it now. Although something odd did happen today. When I turned on the system to play the original Metroid, it started right where I had shut it off before.

Hmmmm... does this mean this system is actually a NOAC like the FC Twin? Still, the compatibility rate is higher so no big deal.

The system is almost certainly an NOAC. All you need to do for compatibility with CVIII is to connect a couple pins from the cartridge port to the system in the right places, something earlier NOAC-based systems uniformly failed to do for some unfathomable reason.
