Are the games you have finished for the first time on the platform?
(IE I have beaten SFII on the SNES countless times, but have not this year, I dont add it towards my count if I finish it as I have finished it before).
Games Beaten : 2011
Re: Games Beaten : 2011
Im curious how others count replays as well. I didn't add them last year, but I was debating doing it this year.

I count something once per year, even if I beat it in previous years.emwearz wrote:Are the games you have finished for the first time on the platform?

My copy of Marvel vs Capcom 3 finally arrived today and I cleared arcade mode enough times to unlock the four secret characters, plus additional modes

Oh, everything on my list (including last year) was the first time I had finished the game (on that platform). I have a list that I use to keep track of every game I have ever finished, so when I add a game here, I just add it to the master list.dsheinem wrote:I count something once per year, even if I beat it in previous years.emwearz wrote:Are the games you have finished for the first time on the platform?

Looking at my list from last year, there were 9 games on my final list that I had beaten previously in my life. This year, so far I have 1 previously beaten game listed (Tetris).emwearz wrote:Oh, everything on my list (including last year) was the first time I had finished the game (on that platform). My method is that if I put a game in a system and play it until I win, and that win happens between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2011, it goes on the list.emwearz wrote:Are the games you have finished for the first time on the platform?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Just beat Rogue Galaxy.. that makes it 6 beaten I think. Great game, great story, great music, but it has the most predictable story of any game I have ever played.

castle of illusion - sega
disney's aladdin - sega
the lion king - sega
mickey mania: the timeless adventure of mickey mouse - sega
mickey mania: the timeless adventure of mickey mouse - sega cd
disney's the jungle book - sega
dungeon explorer - sega cd
phelios - sega
doom - 32x
doom 32x is an enjoyable game. i know it isn't pc perfect, but the controls are nice and the visuals, given what it is being played on, are decent. people will say the sound is horrible. i didn't think there was anything with the sound to call it horrible. it is actually very short, with only 15 levels. i played in several sittings, but all combined it probably took me between 1 to 2 hours. also, no end boss. the last level was just a typical level with nothing that made it a "last level." one thing i liked about the game has the lack of a save option. this means no save states every time you reach a new room and every time you die you start the level over again. i thought this was going to make a nice challenge, but i ended up only dying 2 or 3 times throughout the game. this would make nightmare difficulty insanely difficult. assuming it is the same as the PC version, enemies keep respawning. no save states = hard!
