I registered an account over there. But you're right, its a practical ghost town. Anyway I check out that band thoroughly. I went to radioshack and microcenter neither of them carried drive belts, and both placed acted like they had never heard of them. I find this strange, especially in RadioShack's case, they seem to be trying to move away from their electronics parts past and into more high ticket items like cell phones.
The belt looked and felt identical to a rubber band, so I just bought some of those rubber bands you find in the hair care aisle because they're a bit smaller than normal bands, hooked it up, and that solved the problem.
Anyone have a Philips CD-i?
Re: Anyone have a Philips CD-i?
Every time I go to Radio Shack for electronic components I leave disappointed. Every single time. There's one not too far from me, so it's worth a shot, but I've never found what I needed.

Re: Anyone have a Philips CD-i?
I'm still looking for a Philips CD-i for my collection. I have a couple games on the CD-i including the Mario and Zelda CD-i games except for Zelda's Aventure which is really expensive and rare to find.

Re: Anyone have a Philips CD-i?
I have a Cd-i. the small top-loader model.
I was lucky enough to pickup the all 3 zelda games and hotel mario at a yard sale.
I also have burn cycle, clue, and few other, interesting games.

Re: Anyone have a Philips CD-i?
I have a CD-I, but I have yet to find a controller for the system in the many months that I have owned one, so as of now, it is functioning as a very, very effective paperweight.
Re: Anyone have a Philips CD-i?
I found one a while back at a thrift store with a ton of games. I was like "that's a funny looking cd player......" ::closer look:: "WTF it's a cdi!" Then I was looking through the cd secion and I'm like "WTF Zelda and the Wand of Gamelon". Looked under that "WTF Link: Faces of Evil".
I also found about 15 other games scattered throughout the store. Mainly just kids games but I have a couple of others. Then I traded a Saturn game for a brand new remote.
And now I have a Philips cdi sitting on a shelf full of other crap I probably will never use.
Oh and the games were a $1 each and the cdi works and was $10. The Zelda games are mint too!
